Founded in 1995 in Palmdale, California, American Data Plates, Inc. (ADPI) was established in the heart of the Antelope Valley — a premier aerospace and defense hub proximate to Edwards Air Force Base, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and numerous military testing and production facilities.

From its inception, ADPI has pursued a focused mission: to manufacture identification plates, data plates, nameplates, UID/IUID tags, panels, overlays, placards, and labels of exceptional quality that meet the most stringent durability, precision, traceability, and compliance requirements.

Founding & Early Development (1995–2000s)

  • Established as a specialized manufacturer serving local and regional aerospace and defense needs.
  • Invested in core capabilities, including photosensitive anodized aluminum processing (Metalphoto®) for long-service-life identification solutions.
  • Built foundational expertise in producing durable, compliant products capable of withstanding extreme environmental conditions.
